Are you a skilled Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician with experience in industrial construction? Join FLINT for an exciting opportunity at an oil refinery in Port Moody, BC!   This temporary position commences in early May and is scheduled to run until the end of August, with the potential for a contract extension. Enjoy a 14-on/7-off schedule, 10-hour shifts, competitive hourly rates, travel compensation for your journey, and a healthy Living Out Allowance to ensure your stay in Port Moody is comfortable and enjoyable.   As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a vital role in installing electrical systems for our client. If you're ready to utilize your expertise to ensure facilities' safe and reliable operation, we encourage you to apply!   What would you be doing? - Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain process instrumentation, communication networks, and control equipment, including flow computers, tank gauging systems, custody transfer metering, and associated equipment. - Analyze, interpret and utilize the information contained in SCADA, LOI displays, and P ID drawings to ensure the safe operation of facilities. - Supports programming and troubleshooting of Local Operator Interfaces and Programmable Logic Controllers. - Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment. - Provide Instrumentation support and maintenance to ensure system reliability. - Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose. - Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts. Does this sound like you? - Have a Journeyperson or Instrumentation Certificate. - Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: CSTS-2020 is mandatory. - Dual-ticketed as a Journeyperson Electrician is an asset. - Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees. - Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision. - Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while handling strict deadlines. - Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. - Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc. Perks of the job - Competitive rates range from $48-$56/hour. - 14 on/7 off work schedule. - 10-hour shifts. - A $230/day living out allowance is available for eligible candidates. - Travel allowance for eligible candidates. - Benefits after 300+ hours worked. Calling all skilled Insulators local to the Vancouver area! We have a long-term opportunity right in your own backyard.   We are looking for a local Journeyperson Insulator to join our maintenance team permanently. Based at a client site in Port Moody, BC, this position commences immediately and offers a Monday - Friday work schedule.    If you have a keen eye for detail, are proficient in interpreting drawings, and possess a range of insulation techniques, we invite you to apply. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to insulation projects and gain valuable experience. Take advantage of the benefits and professional growth opportunities that await you.   What would you be doing?   - Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select the type of insulation needed.  - Measuring and cutting insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools.  - Applying and securing insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods.  - Fitting insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists.  - Installation of vapour barriers.  - Fabricate metal sheets and apply insulating materials to finish surfaces.  Does this sound like you? - Have your Journeyperson or apprentice Certificate or proof of hours.  - Have valid, up-to-date safety tickets for H2S Alive, CSTS, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, and WHMIS. - Excellent manual dexterity, with the ability to perform intricate and precise actions efficiently. - Has a natural talent for understanding how mechanical systems work and how to operate and maintain machinery effectively. - Ability to read and understand complex instructions.   - Ability to do careful and exacting work.   - Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. - Physically capable of performing all necessary duties, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc. Perks of the job  - Competitive Rate: $38.70 - $43/Hr. - Benefits after +300 hours. - Monday to Friday schedule, 8 hour shifts.  - Long-term employment with a great team. - Financial assistance is provided for apprentices working towards their Journeyperson certification.
