Are you a skilled Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician with experience in industrial plant maintenance? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a vital role in installing and maintaining electrical systems for our client.   This permanent position is based at our client site near Fort Saskatchewan and is set to commence in early May 2024   If you're ready to utilize your expertise to ensure facilities' safe and reliable operation, we encourage you to apply.   Perks of the job - Competitive Pay  - Benefits after 300+ hours worked. - Monday - Friday work week - Perfect schedule for those candidates local to the Edmonton area What would you be doing? - Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain process instrumentation, communication networks, and control equipment, including flow computers, tank gauging systems, custody transfer metering, and associated equipment. - Analyze, interpret and utilize the information contained in SCADA, LOI displays, and P ID drawings to ensure the safe operation of facilities. - Supports programming and troubleshooting of Local Operator Interfaces and Programmable Logic Controllers. - Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment. - Provide Instrumentation support and maintenance to ensure system reliability. - Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose. - Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts. Does this sound like you? - Have a Journeyperson Instrumentation certification. - Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS-20 and Standard First Aid - AWP and Fall Protection are assets. - Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees. - Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision. - Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. - Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. - Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc. Other important details   This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of a drug and alcohol testing.   Why FLINT   FLINT strives every day to be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
