We are seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist in mining activities. Your expertise in safely handling and communicating with other operators on-site will be crucial to ensure that our project is successful.   This opportunity is a fly-in, fly-out position with a 7-in, 7-out rotation. Flights to/from Calgary or Edmonton or bussing out of Fort McMurray are provided in addition to camp accommodation.   What would you be doing? - Operate a Haul Truck or other heavy equipment in an open pit mine. - Operating assigned heavy equipment safely and in an efficient manner. - Understanding and adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards. - Participating in all safety and culture-building programs. - Training on new equipment when requested. Does this sound like you? - Valid Class 5 driver's license or higher with 3 years driver's abstract required. - Common Safety Orientation (CSO) OR Basic Safety Orientation (BSO).  - Minimum of 2000 hours of work experience operating a 773 or larger Haul Truck. - Diverse Heavy Equipment experience is considered an asset, including any combination of Dozer, Excavator, Grader, Loader and Rock Truck experience. - Must be willing to complete and pass a simulator assessment. - Open-pit mining experience is considered an asset. - Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. - Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc. Perks of the job - Pay rates up to $42.01 per hour + benefits.  - Health benefits after 300 hours. - 7/7 schedule, 12 hours per day. Reporting to the Team Lead of Assessment and Remediation, the Intermediate Environmental Professional will be responsible for coordination and execution of field programs and report writing.          This position will be supporting projects in NE BC. This will require travel to this area for on-site work.    What would you be doing? - Coordinating and executing assessment and remediation programs including, but not limited to: Phase I and II Environmental Sites Assessments/Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, In-Situ and Ex-Situ Remediation, soil and groundwater treatment, soil, and groundwater monitoring. - Provide mentorship and support to junior professionals. - Completion of technical reporting for assessment and remediation programs. - Implement corporate and client safety programs for field work and ensure that project field requirements are met in a timely and effective manner. Does this sound like you? - Over 5 years of relevant environmental science/engineering experience in the Oil and Gas sector. - Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science/engineering or related discipline. - Eligibility for or current professional designation (Agrologist, Biologist, or Engineering/Geoscience). - Proficiency in provincial environmental regulations, policies, standards, and technical documents. - Experience in leading and overseeing environmental assessment and remediation projects. - Proficient in light-duty truck operation with a valid class 5 driver's license. - Strong vegetation identification and soil characterization skills. - Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. - Effective prioritization and multitasking in a deadline-driven environment. - Proactive problem-solving and initiative-taking mindset. - Strong commitment to health and safety. - Fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal.
