Job Description

Are you looking for a rewarding Electrician opportunity? FLINT is searching for skilled and experienced journeyperson electricians with telecommunications experience to join our team permanently! As an Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical and communication systems while troubleshooting and resolving issues to ensure seamless system integration and performance.

 

These permanent positions are camp-based and located in Fort McMurray. They offer a 7-day on and 7-day off work schedule, providing an ideal work-life balance. Transportation to the site will be provided from our flight hubs in Calgary or Edmonton. What would you be doing?

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and components.
  • Replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and other electrical components.
  • Collaborate with other trades and technicians to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain communication systems, including data cabling, networking hardware, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to communication systems, including internet connectivity, phone lines, and network performance.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess and plan for communication infrastructure needs.
  • Ensure that communication systems are compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients or team members regarding communication systems.

Does this sound like you?

  • Journeyperson Electrician and telecommunications tech would be an asset.
  • Proven experience as an electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated experience in installing and maintaining communication systems and networks.
  • Experience with Motorola radio systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for both electrical and communication systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination for handling tools and equipment.
