We are currently seeking a skilled Journeyperson Mechanic to join our team permanently! As a mechanic, you'll diagnose and repair vehicles and mobile equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. You'll excel in a role that values meticulous record-keeping, proactive maintenance, and adherence to high cleanliness and safety standards. 

This permanent position is camp-based with a 7-day on and 7-day off work schedule. Transportation to the site will be provided from our flight hubs in Calgary or Edmonton. If you are a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician with 2+ years of relevant work experience and are physically capable of performing the duties required, we encourage you to apply.

What would you be doing? 

• Diagnose and repair vehicles and various mobile equipment (pumps, generators, light plants, etc.).
• Keep track of work performed and keep accurate records (Garage Management System).
• Maintain housekeeping in the shop (area ready for cross-shift).
• Update cross-shift notes. 
• Repair and replace alternators, generators, starters, voltage regulators, distributors, etc.
• Lighting systems; install a variety of parts (batteries/breaks).
• Abide by all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing.
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives.
• Making sure tools and equipment are working well.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any problems.
• Perform lubrication, oil changes, battery maintenance, tire changes and equipment servicing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum qualification: Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician; Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
• Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc
