Job Description

FLINT is actively searching for Journeyperson Electricians to join our dynamic team in Cochrane, AB! As a valued member of FLINT, you'll leverage your expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
 

This position will commence from August 15, 2024 to September 30, 2024 on a turnaround. Work 10-hour shifts for pre-work and 12 hours per day during the turnaround with enticing daily overtime. What would you be doing?  

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts. 
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures. 
  • Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors. 
  • Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators. 
  • Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety. 

Does this sound like you? 

  • Have a Journeyperson Electrician or Indentured Apprentice Level Ticket
  • Safety tickets: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSTS-20, Fall Protection.
  • Have high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. 
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
