Job Description

 

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our client site in Saskatoon, SK. If you have experience operating Skid Steers and other small equipment and a good safety record, this casual opportunity from Mid-May to December 2024 is for you.

 

As the Equipment Operator, you'll be responsible for moving materials from the fabrication shop to the field, conducting pre-operational inspections, and operating telehandlers and/or forklifts safely and efficiently. Your keen eye for safety hazards and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues will be valuable assets in this role. Additionally, you may occasionally perform General Laborer duties.

 

If you are local to Saskatoon, SK,  have a positive attitude, can work autonomously while following directions, and are physically capable of handling heavy objects, we encourage you to apply. 

 

What would you be doing?

  • Moving Material from the fabrication shop out into the field.

  • Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.

  • Safe and efficient operation of telehandlers and/or forklifts.

  • Identifying safety risks and hazards on site.

  • Communicate/review hand signals with a spotter.

  • Perform General Laborer duties on occasion.

  • Can troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and find solutions.

  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
