Job Description

You will perform accounting duties as required to support the finance function in billing, project invoices, and project support. While working under supervision, you will perform the full scope of financial support for operational managers, and your manager will occasionally review and/or verify project set-up, data entry, and decisions. 

 

You will report directly to the Project Accounting Lead and bring 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role with high-volume data entry.

This permanent in-office position will be held at our Sherwood Park or Whitecourt office.

 

What would you be doing?

  • Ensure all employee and direct service providers' time is entered daily as per client contract.
  • Aid with the processing of accounts payable, including:
  • Processing of both billable and non-billable payables
  • Processing of employee expenses
  • You will support ongoing communication with consulting employees and project managers regarding revenue recognition and managing work-in-progress.
  • Produce draft and final invoices; aid consulting employees with accompanying statements/reports as requested by our clients.
  • Receive and register invoices, forms, records, and other documents for data capture.
  • Review payroll entries, name areas of concern, and notify the Supervisor.
  • Help in keeping accurate documentation to charge to clients.
  • Complete all billing tasks associated with labour, equipment, and material.
  • Ensure all client billing requirements are met and enter client-based programs such as Cortex and ADP.
  • Create and monitor field tickets and Labour Equipment Material (LEM).
  • Update all cost trackers with field ticket and billing information.
  • Experience inputting data into computerized databases, spreadsheets, or other software.

Does this sound like you?

  • Have 3+ years' experience in a financial administration position.
  • Have a can-do attitude, excellent work ethic, multi-tasker, and excellent work ethic, multi-tasker and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong high-volume data entry skills.
  • Have good organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to manipulate multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse people and job functions.
  • Intermediate level of ability with Microsoft Excel.
  • Certificate or diploma in a related field is preferred
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
