Join Our Team as a Recruitment Coordinator (Temporary)

 

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new hires? We are seeking a dedicated Recruitment Coordinator to play a key role in expediting, collecting, verifying, and storing crucial documents and certifications required for individuals joining our organization.

 

As a Recruitment Coordinator, your primary focus will be on efficiently managing the onboarding process to guarantee candidates are well-prepared for their first day of work. Collaborate closely with the entire Recruitment Team, Operational Hiring Managers, and other business stakeholders to streamline the onboarding journey.

 

This is an eight-month temporary position based out of Calgary. 

 

What would you be doing?

  • Manage and facilitate the centralized Recruitment Onboarding and administration processes. 
  • Communicate with Hiring Managers to confirm position requirements and provide on-demand status updates for candidates during the onboarding process.
  • Create, send, and monitor the receipt of offer letters.
  • Assist in scheduling, monitoring, and obtaining the results of Drug and Alcohol + Occupational Health testing through approved vendors when required.
  • Oversee, validate and track the timely receipt of documents and certifications while investigating and regularly following up on outstanding onboarding requirements with candidates.
  • Collaborate with the Recruitment Team to verify and comply with all candidate onboarding requirements before deployment.
  • Obtain and provide first-day details to candidates in process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service as the key point of contact throughout the onboarding process.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of recruitment projects and initiatives, including maintaining spreadsheets and metrics.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal stakeholders to attain imperative information for projects, provide input, and providing status updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Does this sound like you?

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with ambiguity and change.
  • Being proactive in determining and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure service environment with frequent changes in priorities.
  • Former experience in onboarding an asset, but not mandatory.
  • A Grade 12 education supplemented by further education and/or experience working with recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Former office administrative experience or training an asset.

As a condition of employment, qualified applicants who are offered and accept the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
