Job Description

The Recruitment Specialist is focused on successfully sourcing and offering employment to new hires, name hires, and transfer candidates to fill open staffing requisitions. This position will work closely with recruitment coordinators, specialists, leads, hiring managers, and various business stakeholders to manage. 

 

You will bring 1-2 years of previous high-volume full-cycle recruitment experience. You will also possess a Post-Secondary Diploma (2 years or more) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Recruitment, or a related field or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience. RPR designation is considered an asset. 

 

This is a temporary position based out of Calgary, AB. The term is 6 months, paid on an hourly basis.

 

What would you be doing?

  • Perform full cycle recruitment, including completing resume screening and conducting interviews.
  • Book potential employees for all pre-employment testing.
  • Source, build, and maintain excellent relationships with active and passive talent to build a talent pipeline.
  • Work and form relationships with internal management teams to know the ins and outs of their departments and better understand their hiring needs and job specifications.
  • Post job openings on company ATS & website and approved job boards. 
  • Manage shortlisted candidates through the application process.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the applicant tracking system and keep the recruiting process moving along seamlessly.
  • Stay in regular contact with active candidates to keep them engaged and informed throughout the interview and selection process; notify candidates of their continued consideration or rejection.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Does this sound like you?

  • Demonstrated relationship building through previous customer service interactions.
  • Experience recruiting technical specialists, field/trades personnel and/or professionals in multiple disciplines is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience using various sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Familiarity with job boards, and HR software, databases, and applicant tracking systems is an asset.
  • Proven experience conducting various behavioural-based interviews (in-person, phone, video, etc.).
  • Solid organizational skills, process-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
  • Strong computer skills, excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
