Job Description

Are you a Journeyperson or Apprentice Electrician looking for an opportunity to start right away? Look no further, FLINT is actively seeking skilled Electricians to join our team! As a valued member of FLINT, you'll leverage your expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing critical electrical components essential to our facilities and operations.

 

This temporary opportunity is in Grande Prairie, AB with a Monday to Friday work schedule. If you're a Journeyperson or Apprentice Electrician with valid Aerial Work Platform, Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, and Fall Protection tickets, we encourage you to submit your application.

 

What would you be doing?  

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts. 
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures. 
  • Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors. 
  • Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators. 
  • Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety. 

Does this sound like you? 

  • Have a Journeyperson or valid apprentice Electrician ticket. 
  • SAFETY TICKETS: AWP, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, H2S Alive.
  • Have high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. 
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
