FLINT is seeking talented and safety-oriented Pipefitters to support our team for an upcoming Turnaround!

Located in Conklin, AB, this turnaround kicks off on May 4th, 2024, until May 20th, 2024, offering a straight through work schedule. With perks including benefits after 300 hours worked, 12-hour shifts with daily overtime and camp arrangements provided, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills to our team's success.

 

As a Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings. We are offering a $250 referral bonus for any successful referrals that complete the project that are 3rd year, 4th year and JP pipefitters.

 

Perks of the job

  • Competitive pay. Your compensation will be based on your registered trade level, cumulative skills, and work experience.
  • Straight through work schedule, 12 hrs/day (8hrs reg + 4 hrs OT)
  • Camp Arrangement: Sunday Creek Camp, with your own room and own bathroom.
  • Additional $60.00 each day for travel to and from camp to site.
  • Mob/Demob of 3 hrs max per direction, every rotation.
  • Eligibility for Benefits: After accumulating just 300 work hours, you become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Refer a 3rd year, 4th year and Journeyperson Pipefitters, and you get $250 for any successful referrals that complete the project.

What would you be doing?  

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.  
  • Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.  
  • Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.  
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.  
  • Maintain and repair piping systems.  

Does this sound like you?  

  • Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.
  • Valid Safety Tickets: WHMIS, H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid and AWP (Aerial Work Platform) tickets.
  • Experience with hydro testing an asset.
  • Enjoy a varied workload.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
