Job Description

Are you an Electrician seeking a rewarding PERMANENT opportunity? We are actively seeking Journeyperson Electricians to join our dynamic team based in Fort St. John, BC. This local position offers an immediate start with opportunity to work out of town for specific projects.

 

As a valued member of FLINT, you'll bring your skills as a qualified Electrician to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vital electrical components essential for our operations.

What would you be doing?  

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts. 
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures. 
  • Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors. 
  • Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators. 
  • Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety. 

Does this sound like you? 

  • Have an Apprenticeship 1st to 4th year certification or Journeyperson Electrician certification.
  • Valid and up-to-date tickets: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid.
  • Have high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. 
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

Perks of the job

  • Competitive pay starting at Journeyperson wage of $40.00/hr to $44.00/hr. Your compensation will be based on your registered ITA trade level, cumulative skills, and work experience.
  • Referral Bonus: $250.00

  • Monday to Friday Schedule when in town and various schedule when working out of town: Benefit from a consistent workweek with weekends off, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
