Job Description

This is an Expression of Interest to build our pool of Pipefitters for oilfield roles based out of Edson, Alberta.

 

While ideal for local Edson candidates seeking a meaningful role close to home, we also welcome those ready to relocate independently and driven by the passion to be a part of something truly extraordinary to apply!

 

As a Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings. If you hold a Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification, possess the necessary safety certifications, and are physically capable of handling the job's demands, we encourage you to apply. 

 

What would you be doing?  

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.  
  • Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.  
  • Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.  
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.  
  • Maintain and repair piping systems.  

Does this sound like you?  

  • Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.
  • Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, and CSO (Common Safety Orientation) tickets.
  • Oilfield maintenance is an asset.
  • Being mechanically inclined is an asset.
  • Enjoy a varied workload.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
