Job Description

Supporting the Supply Chain function within a defined FLINT project, the SCM Coordinator is responsible for the coordination/administration of all awarded supply chain services required to support the ongoing operational, production and administrative functions of FLINT. This role is an on-site position and could be LOA or camp based.

 

This is a project based position in the Grande Prairie area.  The shift schedule is 10 days on, 4 days off. 

 

What would you be doing?

  • The SCM Coordinator is the owner of the supply chain process and the supplier relationship from initiation through execution (excluding formations of any Agreements), up to and including the closure of the purchase order or subcontract agreement.
  • Manage Supply Chain Requests (RFQ’s) by working with Operations Management to review Scope of Work details to ensure contractual terms and conditions within scope details are identified and dispositioned appropriately.
  • Analyze, evaluate and recommend proponents by understanding and negotiating contract pricing rates, cost structure estimates of material, equipment services, production cost, performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure suppliers are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policies and HSE related requirements.
  • Coordinate and chair Kick-off Meetings, Progress Meetings, etc. within FLINT policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure subcontractors are in compliance with company policies, site orientation requirements and HSE related requirements prior to mobilization to site.
  • Manage all Change Management with suppliers including coordination of claims/disputes to resolution.
  • Coordination of client approvals may be required.
  • Maintain organized electronic files for audit requirements.

Does this sound like you?

  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience in Contracts administration, management, and close out experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience with large projects is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Must have strong computer knowledge with the use of various software programs including MS Office, ERP systems, CLM systems, etc.
  • General knowledge of business law and legal ramifications with respect to contracts.
  • Ability and desire to learn and apply new concepts, processes and approaches.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of construction industry and defined scopes of work an asset.
